Earlier this year, several pilots reported seeing a "guy in a jetpack" in the airspace above Los Angeles International Airport on two separate occasions. Now, another pilot says she spotted what appears to show someone flying a jetpack. And this time, the sighting was caught in a jaw-dropping video. Brandy Fogelman, a flight instructor at Sling Pilot Academy, recorded the video last week during an instructional flight with a student.

I tend to believe the drone theory. There was no vapor trail of any kind, as from a jet exhaust. And it seemed to be moving too quickly for something as large as a human with something large enough attached to propel a human.
Plus, flying ABOVE the clouds/smog?
Too fast. Too high. Too far.
Not a human/jetpack. Great hoax idea though.

Why would you fly a jet pack around an airport unless you have a death wish.
Jet packs have a flight time of about 20 minutes.
If a pilot decides to follow you and report where you are flying from, you are going to jail.
