ALWAYS remember this:
HR is not your friend.
They have goals and targets to hit just like you.
And when they hit and/or pass those targets, their bonus is increased.
It ain’t about getting a better departmental budget, it’s about screwing you and getting paid better each time they do it.
Don’t I know it brother! I don’t recall a single HR presentation (probably because of my difficulty in staying alert and interested) that didn’t seem like an outline of how I would be removed due to one false step.
