On your behalf, I shall remain employed as long as I can. Or at least as long as it pleases me. A decent income and knowing the job well makes it worth my while to stick around.

But just so you know, I turn 62 next year so I can go at any time. Actually, with the IRA/401K, I can go now if I want.

Just knowing that makes the job a lot more pleasant. It’s no longer a burden of necessity. But it’s still nice having an income.

Hee Hee. Yes indeed, that got me through more than 5 years of a job I loved with the worst boss I ever had. Fond memories of calculating my 72t income from a 401k-you don’t have to be as old as 62 to do it.
