I love sourdough. I love a baguette even more. Warm or cold with lots of butter. I like to put the slices with butter in the toaster oven—perfection—great with soup for winter lunch.
Which puts me in mind of a saucy French minx who used to call me her little 'Baguette' during our time on the Champs-Élysées before the war.
