I don’t recall a single HR presentation (probably because of my difficulty in staying alert and interested) that didn’t seem like an outline of how I would be removed due to one false step.

And that is the truth! I had a job where the exit interview included an 18 year old mistake that I was not even aware of!

(Only 50 yrs old, but I think that they feared an Age Discrimination Lawsuit.)
