Simple RN, they come for attention - everybody knows what its like to volley off a bunch of posts and not a single reply. And beyond the trees most threads are increasingly a Woe is Us echo chamber.
Attention trolls are certain to get responses here and even if those are angry rebukes it doesn’t matter — any reply satisfies the need for attention
So multiple replies keep the cycle in motion.
Some regular posters here will take no guff...
It soon becomes easy to recognize which posts I can just scroll past...

Unfortunately, some posters will not just ignore the trolls and waste far too much time arguing with them.
