LOL, before my mother passed on, I FORCED her to show me how she made her pies, and I religiously recorded every step, because she is one of those people notorious for leaving out some key thing in the recipe, and it never tastes quite the same as hers...:)
I sure am proud of my pies, but...being a diabetic, I am not supposed to eat them.
The hell with that.

It has to be better than the year just past!
The Gullah people in the ‘Low Country’ have a phrase for ‘break of dawn’ - they call it ‘Clean Day’.
I’m thinking of January 1 as ‘Clean Year’.
