I worked for two hellish years in the hood with these people.
Hardly any wanted to do anything positive to boost themselves or work towards a long term goal - that was racism to put effort into anything.
It was always about today and what can you do for me - always!
When people have that mentality, which is very animalistic, you cannot help them.
I worked in a hood probably way way worse than yours for 20+ years and can tell you there are some good people there trapped mostly older respectful folks. Please don’t write them all off.
