about the elderly lady in the nursing home: expect this to be the norm pretty soon....either we take our old ones in with us or this is what will happen....system does not allow for love and tlc and a family atomosphere in a nursing home....
Oh, I am with you on that. Our parents — and our children — should not be given over to strangers for care.
My dear, late mother would tell my sisters and me, once we were adults, “If you ever put me in a nursing home, I’ll come back and haunt you”.
Fortunately, we were able to take turns in caring for her when the time came.
