CIA doesn’t have to spy within CONUS—They have their buddies in 5 eyes do it for them. And FBI did spy—then they had to fake data to get a FISA to cover their behinds.

CIA did not spy doesn’t equal no spying by anyone.

Excellent point. I did think there’s probably parsing in there that I missed. It’s what the CIA staff of the NYT do best.

And then there’s CIA who work for FBI. I read a policy document (FOIAA) a while back that indicated that, during OBama’s reign, the document established the terms under which employees in one agency could also work for another (CIA/FBI).

I’ve heard peeps like Strzok are CIA (photo of him shaking hands with a CIA black hat I forget). So if they spied, it wasn’t for their day job in the CIA.
