OOPS (like major OOPS) - I left out a clue. Re-read the 1st para and it should now jump out at you. So, so sorry.

I was driving down the highway one day at about 70 mph when my car was overtaken and passed by an auto speeding even faster on my left hand side. Its license plate read: IML8 IML8

And I ask you “What color was that car?”

and for extra points “What kind of car was it?”

(A very old 1970’s quiz from a Science Magazine but maybe today more appropriately for a 12 year old. Try it on your grand kids.) (or, ha ha, your spouse)

LOL. What’s funny is my mom had a red 1980 VW Rabbit. That was the LAST VW she ever owned. She drove a Beetle from 1960-1980.
