“This isn’t true. The current Pentagon team has given more transition meetings than were given in 2016.”

******

Grenell isn’t really denying that the briefings have stopped, but he is down playing it. It does appear that they have stopped till after the first of the year (at least).

DOD downplayed it, saying they had too many meetings scheduled, that they were having trouble keeping up. So you just cancel them?

On the one hand, it’s a very public slap in the face of Biden, on the other hand they are down playing it.

It insinuates that Biden’s team is a national security threat. You could have reduced the number of meetings, been careful what you shared with him, but to cancel them publicly? That is to send a message.

Axios says that it’s because Biden’s team leaked info about how much money stopping border wall would save. So DOD is trying to teach him a lesson? I don’t think that’s it.

This is a really big deal. Right after our gov and critical infrastructure is revealed to have been hacked for months in an ongoing attack, we just call off these briefings because there are too many of them and we will catch you after the first?

It’s more like the DOD washing their hands of Biden, like, “We aren’t even going to lie to the SOB anymore, keep them out of here,” then putting on a semi polite face about it publicly.

does this story seem to be all over the place?

https://noqreport.com/2020/12/18/breaking-acting-defsec-miller-orders-pentagon-wide-halt-to-cooperation-biden-transition-team/

Pentagon official response: A senior Defense Department official sought to downplay the move, calling it “a simple delay of the last few scheduled meetings until after the new year.”

“We had fewer than two dozen remaining meetings on the schedule today and next week,” the official said, adding that “the DoD staff working the meetings were overwhelmed by the number of meetings.”

“These same senior leaders needed to do their day jobs and were being consumed by transition activities. … With the holidays we are taking a knee for two weeks. We are still committed to a productive transition.”

Funniest quote out of that cancellation was “taking a knee for the next couple of weeks”. ‘Sounds like a slap in the face to biden and the rest of the House members who “took a knee”
