“How could Pence be a mentor of a Green Beret? The deep state house of cards is on the verge of falling.”
Pence, to me, has always been a go-along to get-along kind of guy. Never thought of him as a leader - just a life-long politician - and a swamp critter.
I am very concerned about him being in charge of the decision to do what it takes to name Trump re-elected, if this process ever gets to that point in the Senate. I don’t see Pence having the courage to do the right thing.
That said, I am sure that Trump knows Pence’s character and is taking that possibility into account.
I have not viewed Pence as terribly swampy, but maybe I have not been paying attention. Pence has at least figured out that in politics unattached attractive women are not your friends and he avoids being alone with them in a room. This might be one thing Miller has learned from Pence. I think that anything he said refers to political skills, not military skills.
Perhaps Miller is being political in the sense that by offering recognition is trying to move Pence deeper into the Trump camp. Its not like the Military is apolitical, certainly in the higher grades. You defer and compliment your superiors and this builds trust and relationships.
I’m sure your opinion is more important than that of a Green Beret with multiple tours of duty. Who is now Secretary of Defense.
