Early on Xi was cooperative with Trump. He even allowed Trump and Kim to to have a secret meeting in the Forbidden City. Xi also flattered Trump with much pomp and circumstance during Trump’s official visit to China. But he always came up short of full cooperation. He allowed a thawing of the relationship between U.S. and NK, but still kept reigns on the Kim regime and pulled them every now and then to prevent a full peace from being realized.
It now seems clear that Xi’s initial cooperation was just the typical misdirection of the Chicoms. They tried to do a Sun Tzu on Trump, and Trump allowed them to believe they had succeeded in conning him. Early on, Q did make some suggests that the Chicoms were working with the Trump administration to take down the Deep State. It looks now like that was deliberate disinformation from Q.
