NOt being sarcastic. we live in a very damp evergreen forested area, in winter it rains almost every day and when its not raining everything outside is still damp.
If I had to boil water I could us the BBQ grill not the best method.
Had a little propane stove before moving here, couldn’t put the cans of propane on the moving truck, I probably gave the stove away. shoot.
Get some of that evergreen wood. Dry it out. Do that before power goes out. Instant fire. You could even add wet evergreen to it. Keep tending it and soon you would be able to boil water. If you got sticks you could make a rocket stove in no time.

We have a coleman stove, but something we like a lot is the rocket stove. Just a handful off twigs makes supper and a pot of coffee.
We have a 30 gallon container that is stuffed full of twigs and protected from the weather. Our rule of thumb is to have 3 options minimum for all necessities.
