I already posted a reply to the person who originally posted about the “star.”
Nothing interesting happened in history the last two times this “star” / conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn was so prominent.
The conjunction occurs every generation, but the alignment of the planets is only close enough every so often to make them seem as if they are a big bright star.
It will not be visible to us in the U.S., at least at its height or as a star, as it will occur on 12.21.20 at the 1pm hour EST.
Interestingly, it will occur at the 17th hour, military time, in Frankfurt., and any cities in the same time zone, which I guess would mainly be European cities, such as Madrid, Stockholm, Belgrade, Paris, Zurich, Brussels, Rome, and some others.
Outside of Europe, we have Algiers, Casablanca, and Zagreb.
I am appreciative that you took the time to share with me.
Correction, Zagreb is in Croatia.
It sounded African to me.
FWIW, I do not believe the Star of Bethlehem and other extraordinary phenomena reported in the Bible and other ancient literature were simply conjunctions of planets or similar underwhelming coincidences.
No ... these were MONUMENTAL events, exactly as reported.
Immanuel Velikovsky was on the right track. He was one of the greatest geniuses of the 20th century. His work was suppressed by the scientific establishment.
Undaunted, others have continued his work.
NOTE 1: 13,000 years ago something from “Space” destroyed all large flora and fauna in North America, formed the Great Lakes, and started the 1,500-year period of global “darkness” and extreme cooling (reduced global temps by 18 degrees) known by geologists as the “Younger Dryas.” (This was not an “Ice Age.”)
NOTE 2: Scientific explanations are not irreligious, as God is in charge of the universe including Laws of Physics, Laws of Probability etc.
