Except @ home where the US military can attack anywhere in less than a day, there is no place to hide. What air force would contend with our planes? The rear areas of logistics for the enemy would be scourged worse than Saddam’s. Their soldiers in the field cut off and destroyed. We can deliver force to all fronts at the same time. The other side has no compelling reason to fight other than what their masters have demanded. Once cut off, they have no escape. A fool’s errand. Why attack when they are so adept at raising traitors in our midst? Those who survive of the combat forces will be treated immeasurably better than their US enablers.
Exactly. It’s crazy to go through high risk activity, men and materiel just to perhaps rule a physically wrecked country and angry populace. The USA is the goose that lays China’s golden eggs (innovation). China and any others are better off to economically and politically dominate us, which they are attempting with some success.
I read a theory that they want to take a chunk of the United States, hold it, flood the zone with little grey people, and call it New China. As always anything could happen but it usually don’t. As a great general said, things are more like they are today than they’ve ever been before.
If (I think a big if) there were an attack by China through Mexico or Canada or by troops smuggled in through a port, I suspect it would be just a diversion for an attack on Taiwan.
An invasion like that would result in all kinds of problems like massively leaking or missing dams, no more pork or food from other parts of the world, loss of markets. You are correct. I doubt it would happen.
