“I felt incredibly strong after loudly ( it’s a loud environment and you need to speak up to be heard) saying in the presence of 3 younger women “We are Free Americans!” . Bet they never heard that in publik skool.”

I remember well being taught in school that America is a “free country” and that we have more freedoms here than anywhere else ever, and I believed it. We were taught to believe we were special, even the lib teachers believed it.

I’m sure pretty much all of you were taught to believe the same, as I believe we are all over 35.

It does seem to me that K-12 education has gone down rapidly in the last decade, not that it was great before that, but it seems something especially evil has occurred in the last ten years.

I don’t know what kids are taught nowadays. I do not have access to a kid to ask him or her detailed questions about what they learned in school today.

I am grateful to have attended public school when it was for real, graduating HS in 1980 and university in 85. I’m sure my parents got an even better HS education in the 1950s. I am sorry for kids who will never know or understand how our country was 30 or more years ago, when to be anti-American was nearly unheard of, and nearly everyone was proud of America. We must decimate the CCP, their cohorts in both parties, and worldwide system of evil. It can be done. God willing, we will witness it soon.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

I saw some issues when my sons were in elementary school, late 80’s, early 90’s? Rumors of LGBT stuff. My kids were in a great public school, yet I kept asking, why aren’t they learning anything??

I pulled the oldest one out as he was headed into junior high and the youngest one was headed into 4th grade. Teachers had excuses for why kids couldn’t learn and I remember thinking I could solve that problem in a few months at home.

Fast forward now, youngest son and wife pulled their kids out of school a month ago to home school. My 2nd grandson, 3rd grade had no idea who George Washington was. He pretty much spent his days in class with a book in his lap. My youngest grandson, 6, can’t read.

My dil is doing stellar. I said not to worry about the reading, he’ll find an author he likes.

Most days, in most public schools, most of the time is spent on disciplining the naughties. My oldest grandson was one of those.

I have a couple of good, dear friends who are college profs. They both say education is dismal at best. Many college students have to take remedial classes, math, English, lit, sciences before they can take the big kid college classes.

One friend says the kids (college age) cannot relate to others at all. They are too dependent on their phones. And of course any time there’s a disaster, even if on the other side of the world, they fall to pieces and can’t come to class.
