Had to take him back to vet, this a.m.

He had a really bad night....panting/hard breathing.

Our REGULAR vet saw him (NOT the n00bie vet, that saw him, yesterday) and x-rayed. Gave him a lasix shot and sent more doses home w/us.

We’re to check back w/vet, at noon.

Breathing seems MUCH better, already. And, he ate a few bites of chicken 🙌🏻

I don’t think the IV fluids that he was given, yesterday, helped...in fact, maybe worsened things :-(

Thanks so much for the prayers....they sure seem to be working.

He’s a trooper, so hoping he pulls through this one, too. 🙏🏻

Prayers for your puppy dog. Do they have a diagnosis?

Sorry for the response delay. Not the best at multi-tasking....The breathing problem is very troubling! We took our Sammy to the vet a couple years ago and arrived with him panting...they grabbed him and ran in the back. When they came out and talked they told us to never hesitate bring him in if he should ever start the panting again. They warned us he could have died. So never hesitate to run him to a vet for air. Sammy had been eating things that WERE NOT food. He had a ball of something in his tummy that thankfully dissolved and moved. He's an abandoned cat. Many psychological problems. One, separation from my husband. He grieves and looks for him out the front window for him to return golfing or such. Sad.

So glad he's doing better. You could be right about the fluids. Good that he ate.
