Republican officials are so STUPID. Where is the head of the GA Republican party who should be at that center making a huge scene about the ridiculous situation.
Dems are energized. Republicans are demoralized. I doubt that Loeffler or Perdue will get many votes.
A few days ago I sent each of them a donation. Since then I have been replying STOP to the multiple texts and clicking UNSUBSCRIBE on the multiple emails that they send daily. One of them sent a Thank You email. The other didn’t even bother.
Both of their donation pages had a long paragraph in tiny print that already had the box checked to make my donation weekly. That is disgusting. I donated to about ten campaigns before Nov 3 and most of them asked if you wanted to up your donation or make it weekly instead of making additional donations the default. Loeffler and Perdue have probably made lots of people angry when their credit cards automatically paid for the next donation.
It’s WIDESPREAD GOP WINRED tactics. BE AWARE!
Re: Trump solicitations. I wasn’t paying attention and there was a box already filled out with a donation amount that was in the thousands. I wanted a blank slate and in a momentary lapse in cognitive skills I hit the donate button THINKING I was going to go to a clean donation page. Nope! My account was immediately debited but thankfully there wasn’t sufficient funds to cover the withdrawal. I considered myself lucky because it almost emptied out my checking account. I was furious and consider the whole process disingenuous.
I too had to find out the hard way that there were two tiny boxes already filled out, one indicating that I wanted to make weekly donations in the same amount as what I was going to initially make, and another that would be a one time additional donation. The surreptitious part was that unless you scrolled down the page you didn’t see these contributions, and, it was next to impossible to figure out how to make them go away, which is more EQUINE FECAL MATTER!
I started reading the fine print and with each new text asking for money I noticed that there is a percentage split between Trump’s org. and the RNC. Some are overwhelming in favor of the RNC, percentage wise. THIS too makes me FURIOUS. SAD that it has come to this. Needless to say, but I have since sent ZERO funds in to the Trump campaign. If I send any MORE money in, it will be a money order mailed ONLY to the Trump org. I’m kind of upset that I have to WORK to donate to POTUS. A$$HOLES!
One of my elderly friends sends in hundreds of dollars a month, when in fact he is being fooled by similar tactics. He receives swag, which fools him, and he continues donating, unaware of his manipulation, thinking he is helping POTUS. He becomes defensive when I try to educate him and by warning him off of his misguided endeavors. One of the orgs. is the RNSC- the Republican National Senate Committee. Lots of really bold literature comes in the mail with the requests. He gave me a “challenge coin” that he didn’t want, with Ronna McDaniels image on one side. Like I want a challenge coin with Ronna McDaniels on one side. GRRR! SAD!
It’s like they are doing everything they can to lose the Senate. Not even trying.
