One of my sons is an award winning winemaker up in... Idaho!

I've been wanting to visit Idaho's wine country. Lot of volcanic soil there, quite a few wineries along the Snake River. Visited Coeur d'Alene several times during my college years in Spokane.

Must be a bunch of Yankees around here.

I beg your pardon? I believe "Old Mr. Mack" is a Virginia wine. I just spent four years in Georgia, and although peaches are huge there, the local wine was muscatel. "Red Rocket" and "White Rocket" are also big sellers in those southern states that have ABC stores, meaning, no spirits outside of the ABC stores and some bars. "Red Rocket" and "White Rocket" have the same alcohol content as some spirits without being LEGALLY spirits.

And of course, the serious folks just make moonshine rather than wine. One co-worker from Alabama described the still he set up in college, including an aquarium water heater for temperature regulation, and Tums antacids to control pH. He also used stainless steel tubing rather than the more common copper. He was very proud of his product but made me promise not to tell his children of his past indiscretions.

Do it! Trump wines are awesome. Went to local big beverage store recently and some libtard had turned all the Trump wines so label faced back. I turned them all around to the front... then bought a bunch even though it wasn’t what I came there for.

White with fish and fowl and red with beef and pork. That’s the extent of my expertise. And no Chardonnay, ever.

"Now we can look forward to liver AND kidney failure while drinking fine Chinese wine."

You're right!   (And we won't even know which one is hurting the worst.)

Maybe if we all start doing some of these Chinese medicinal stretches, in between our wine-tasting parties, everything will be okay.

(That hurts just to look at it!)        :-)

Right before you guzzle that one down, you should first yell, "Banzai!"

"I Worked for an old guy that made his own Lambrusco, he would bring it to you a couple jugs at a time in plastic ga milk jugs."

My stepgrandfather used a similar process to make beet wine with bread yeast. It had a flavor profile that took some getting used to. It paired well when playing botulism roulette with poorly smoked venison sausage, burnt suckers, and spoiled milk curd patties cooked on a hot tin roof.

(And he was the one who was considered to be able to cook in that house.)

I learned that the process is sound though and when you stumble on the combination of yeast and ingredients that match your palate its rare that from a 5 gallon batch much more than a bottle makes it past all the necessary quality control samples.

Cork. The NRA paid for the Dinner Wine as I recall.

They probably my spent $250.
