‘Look, the deaths are happening.’

oh, yeah, aren’t you the one that said if a guy falls off a ladder, and cracks his skull, and postmortem testing discovered viral infection, then classifying his death in the covid total is legit...because the virus caused him to be disoriented or short of breath or whatever...

you are positing that any excess deaths are, if not totally, then primarily due to covid; something you have no way of knowing, but something you’ve been saying for a long time...

I am keeping an eye on excess deaths too...but you are right in that it is very hard to distinguish between excess deaths due to Coronavirus and excess deaths due to the lockdown.

Nope, I'm the one that said a guy who fell off a ladder after a week of severe respiratory symptoms during which his roommates were desperately urging him to go to the hospital because he could hardly breathe, and whose autopsy identified massive lung trauma indicating Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, who had no other known history of medical issues, and who also tested positive for COVID-19 MAY have become short of breathe while he was climbing up to the roof. And I also stated that the classification of death was speculation and a difficult call.

No, I'm stating that the medical determination of doctors around the world are that X number of people are dying of COVID-19 and lo and behold! The excess death numbers happen to match up pretty nicely. The only "positing" I'm doing is that some early deaths in March and April which should have been classified as COVID-19 were missed because no tests were available to confirm what the underlying cause of death was. Funny thing that medical conditions with a high risk of death from COVID-19 (e.g. dementia, cardiopulmonary issues, etc.) happened to see a sudden rapid spike in excess mortality at the very beginning of the pandemic when tests weren't available, but suddenly returned right back to normal baseline numbers when tests WERE available. What a weird coincidence. I wonder what might have happened.
