This idea that Trump set up the Democrats with his executive order and sprang a trap on them on Election Night is definitely within the realm of possibility, given what is known about this creative president.
It is likely that Trump has known about Dominion Voting Systems for some time but has chosen not to interfere with enemies who were in the process of setting themselves up for their own destruction. Little did the Democrats suspect that their villainous strength — the ability to win elections by cheating — was about to become an eminently indictable weakness.

Easier is better? I keep in mind Trump has to be sick of everyone obstructing him. A high-vis shutdown of the cheating woul be the most likely way to minimizr that.
Arrest the criminals before they commit their crime and then have to prove that it was what the criminals intended?
Or catch the criminals red-handed with their hands in the till and prove the facts of the crime they have already committed?

I’d be more inclined to believe your theory or anyone else’s if Trump hadn’t got suckered by Sessions and then Barr long ago and had hired an AG that just exposed and locked up the bad guys up long ago.
I hope it’s a problem we have to deal with but if Trump is declared the winner this country is going to be in complete turmoil. Still better than the alternative but a serious AG would have solved the problem long ago. Or at least started the process and Trump would have cleanly won in a landslide.

Some have given up. Trump doesn't have a chance. Trump is just sitting there doing nothing as victory slips through his fingers. Trump doesn't have a clue. Trump doesn't want it bad enough. Trump has terrible lawyers. Trump is going to lose for sure.
Others are waiting for that miracle. Trump has an ace up his sleeve. Trump is just toying with the democRATS. Trump set a trap for the cheaters to walk into. Trump will win in the court of public opinion. Trump will win with a hole card. Trump is playing 4-D chess. Trump is going to win through some EO.
But does anybody think Trump is stupid and just sitting there waiting to lose? Is anyone giving him any credit for being the brilliant strategist and tactician he has shown himself to be?
He won this election fair and square and he will get his second term. Stealing the election outright does not mean the thieves won. But how he achieves that at this point has not been revealed to us yet. He knows something we don't know. Whatever it is, is not going to be good for the democRATS at all.
He has withstood their constant attacks and abuse since before he took office. He will not let them get off the hook with just a slap on the hand.
Now that he knows he has a second term in the WH in hand, he will come down hard on his opposition, knowing they can't get to him anymore. They do not realize who they were messing with.

Giuliani took down the mob by trapping them. The mafia is not what it used to be because of his great work. But I guess it would have been easier and less stressful to just put away a few low level mobsters, and not risk all kinds of fireworks by going after the big guns more forcefully than any big city mayor had ever done before

It was the democRATS turn the first term. Now it will be his turn.
AGs have to be confirmed by the Senate. If he tried to nominate a true ally, like Rudy, the RINOs would shoot it down. Trump is smart enough to understand that the Republicans are not his friends, and he needs a second term to clean things up. Exposing massive voter fraud in his reelection bid gives him the leverage to actually drain the swamp.

So right now if Trump could go back in time do you think he would still pick Sessions? Barr? And even if the election is flipped, how does that put Hillary, Obama, and the rest of the cabal in prison (or worse) for legitimate treason?
Sorry but I think you are wrong and I am certain right now Trump wished he went to war, even with McConnell and the Republican’s, instead of giving in to Barr. A six year old could have presented the evidence to convince all but the hardest leftists of the crimes that were committed. Now with the media 99% on the left’s side, even if Trump gets in they are going to present it as an actual coup and we are in for brutal times. Trump isn’t God. He messed up. He is human. But an extraordinary human and American in that he is doing everything in his power to correct his mistakes.
What Senate was going to confirm a serious AG?
Thats the only way to get this across to the American People.
That is why he didn't just come out with this before election night.
