I have a diesel that can do 810 highway miles (cruise control set at 66) on a full tank and then,when empty,it can be filled in about 4 minutes at any one of 35,000 stations from coast to coast.
Electric vehicle? Sorry,not in *this* lifetime.

The kraut heads at Volkswagen, have destroyed the diesel engine, as we know it. Period.
What are you going to replace with?
Our gas Suburban also exceeded 800 miles on a tank.
