It’s one of the reasons I’m not an early adopter. Let someone else work out the bugs in the system.

One thing nice about a properly geared electric sports car is they are faster than anything gas fueled. No torque curve.

I might do a hybrid at some point

I think it would be more productive if you drove it.

The British built the amazing Spitfire and excellent Hawker Hurricane fighter planes. What happened?

Did they try pushing the car?
They might have arrived home sooner.

“I think an EV is a good solution for local driving.”

Hee hee.

Boy is that the truth.

Why did they leave home with 45 mile range left on an electric car to begin with?

So they wouldn’t have to pay for the electricity to recharge it? Find a free fill-up somewhere.

I can only afford to adopt something new when it has been developed to the point where it is no longer just a toy for millionaires.

I have wondered about battery cells of a standard size and rather than go to a charging station for an hour you go to the battery station and turn in your discharged battery cells and pop in charged cells - maybe pay a rental fee for using the batteries. If things were well designed a battery change-out could be done a lot faster than waiting for a charge.
