Mac users can disable smart quotes system-wide by visiting Apple Menu > System Preferences > Keyboard > Text, then unchecking “Use smart quotes and dashes.”

Ok, I disabled it. I’ll post something tomorrow as a test and see what happened. I’ll also try using note pad as some have suggested.

Thanks, and I’ll ping you tomorrow and let you see the results with the hopes one of these things helps.

Yet I still doubt either is the problem, but ya never knew know
