i have never felt more alienated than this ‘holiday’. I used to at least get a pity invitation to come and eat fowl other than chicken or goose and have some cheer or reminder of other times. But now they’ve gone and made it so I’m not welcome anywhere, anymore. Sigh.
You’d be welcome here if you were in OR!
((hugs)) You’d be welcome here, too.

You are most welcome here! Coming from a military family and being a retired airlifter I have been separated from family and friends over the years almost as much as I have been with them. Often I can’t remain in the room when the family gathers, I cannot see how the next episode of the Batchelor is more important than dealing with those that would destroy our nation. Frustrating!
However, I know also that God has a plan, that I am still blessed, and that it is citizens like we FreeQs that will be the mortar that holds the bricks of this nation together. So while we may stand a lonely watch, WE ARE THE GUARDIANS OF LIBERTY even if those we are guarding it for do not realize it.
It is because we are willing to stand that they can sit and sleep in peace, we don’t stop being soldiers when we leave the service for the service never leaves us and we can do nor be anything else but Patriots. For ourselves and our posterity we will always stand for Freedom!
I pray these words and thoughts bring you peace on this Thanksgiving Day as we read the words of Gen Flynn and POTUS and reflect on the first Thanksgiving address by George Washington in 1779. We may at times be by ourselves, but we are never alone!
