Should we Christians call down fire on our enemies? Michael Brown on post-election fights: 'We seem to be moved by malice more than by mercy'
World Net Daily ^ | 11/23/2020 | Michael Brown

As the church of America becomes increasingly divided along political lines, a dangerous tendency is developing. Our party is the party of God; the other is the party of the devil. Our cause is entirely righteous; theirs is entirely wicked. We can therefore call down curses on our political enemies, since they are doing the devil's work.

It is no longer the kingdom of God vs. the kingdom of Satan, it is the Republicans vs. the Democrats and Trump vs. Biden. That's how we divide.

Recently, I was alarmed to see Christians praying with great fervor online, calling down divine judgment on those who allegedly committed voter fraud.

There was no concern shown for the state of their souls. There was no fervent cry that God would save them and grant them repentance. Instead, the prayers were for their destruction. The evildoers must be removed!

This is not the Spirit of God. This is not the heart of our Father. This is not the Jesus way.

Of course we pursue justice. Of course we pray for corruption to be exposed. Of course we take godly action. The last thing I'm advocating is passivity and faithless resignation. . . . . . .

I like Michael Brown’s videos, but he’s taking a lot of things out of context here and he’s also hurling false accusations.

A few people turning into pillars of salt might be a ‘good thing’ considering the situation in this country today.

I have a little bird bath (more ornamental than anything) that I really love & I bought it because the inscription around the inside rim is “His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me”. A takeoff on the Bible verse ....

Matthew 6:26 ESV
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

I find much comfort in that assurance.

No, there is an easier way. Trump and his supporters support Israel. Biden and his supporters are for Israel’s enemies. Further more Trump has blessed Israel tremendously. So much that the nation Israel sees him as a Cyrus (that’s a small ‘m’ messiah). Pray that God keeps his promises, to bless those that bless Israel and to curse those that curse Israel.

Please don’t forget -— Lord Jesus was a Jew, as were the money changers and other cheats in the Temple. Religion itself will never absolve anyone of wrongdoing. In righteous anger Jesus drove them out of His Temple. Perhaps it will fall to us to drive out the cheats and wrongdoers from One Nation Under God. Perhaps we are all called for such a time as this:

IF you voted ONE SINGLE LEGAL BALLOT FOR YOURSELF in this last election, expressing your own personal beliefs in your choice, then we are OK -— that is 100% your right as a free American.

BUT!!! Democrats got all the votes that lying, cheating, counting algorithms, and “harvesting” can create from thin air. Democrats bought all the votes that money, alcohol, drugs, prostitutes, and who knows what else could buy. Democrats got all the votes from the dead people, illegals, and criminals who have forfeited their franchise. It boggles the honest mind to see the depth and breadth of their wholesale cheating and depravity.

IF YOU participated in any of the above illegal activity, were complicit in any way, knowingly supported these activities with your time or money, failed to report the illegal activities you personally witnessed, or condoned “whatever it takes to win” -— then we are ENEMIES.

YES -— ENEMIES!!!

Since moving to AmericasVoice.News from Faux, I’ve gotten used to watching Bannon’s WarRoom. On Sundays Michael Brown has his show. Lately I’ve been disappointed. Again, too smart by half. His latest is poo-pooing any one who state God has shown He will prevail and Trump will be vindicated.

He seems to leave out the inconvenient parts of how God can and has worked and move.

I am curious, as others here pointed out, if he’s saying David’s cries for Righteous Judgement are sinful. Also, in Revelation 19 or other parts of Revelation the saints crying out “How long Oh Lord until you execute judgement” and the Threefold rejoicing when God finally does with Babylon.

IF I murder someone - or steal from them - should I be able to NOT give restitution or receive judgement because some judge gave me ‘mercy’?

Yes; there still is a difference between mercy and leniency.

> We are in an ideological war. From a Marxist viewpoint, an atheistic mind is already ¾-conquered.

I’ve read the Naked Communist - excellent book. An atheist might find that quote insulting, but when you consider that Marxism is built on a foundation of atheism, I think it’s quite accurate. I.e., if a person is an atheist, you don’t have to start by attacking their most fundamental beliefs before you can convert them.

Well Joe Biden needs to fail and many may not agree but so does the Nation as well in order to repent of its wickedness. There is no other way the Nation turns back to God.

Politician being political. May not understand it is still not over. God’s covenant with israel concerning other nations is not based on their faithfulness or trustworthiness. This is why judgment of Israel always came from nations more wicked than themselves. Go always keeps his word... All of his word.

I have no problems asking God to intervene against the wicked.

I don’t necessarily say who are the wicked, unless they can be named...

It is merciful to seek the destruction of the wicked.

When the wicked are destroyed the innocent are not victimized.

Justice IS mercy

Surely then as an atheist you approve of the biblical doctrine of hell?

Unfortunately, it is so very easy to be critical of Christians by always presenting a contrarian view. Yes, we should all earnestly and sincerely seek the salvation of the wicked and lost, and yes, we do wage war against the spiritual realms, but I am weary of those who would seek to sap the will of the faithful.

I have seen this over and over. Pick the easy target of Christians and proclaim they are doing this or that wrong and subtly accuse them of being unholy or unrighteous. I witnessed this at the height of the homosexual revolution in the 1980s when many church leaders shrank back from the criticism of the left. These church leaders essentially told congregations across the country that we shouldn't single out homosexuality and we should love them as sinners. Of course we should, but I saw many, many leaders shame Christians into backing away from saying anything negative against the practice of homosexuality and even equating those who practiced this sin as the modern day leapers. Imagine that, those who practiced and advocated sin were akin to those who contracted a medical malady through no fault of their own. And here we are today with the White House being lit up with the homosexual flag. Yep, that's what happens when the church loses it's saltiness. And now we are being shamed and effectively told to stand down against real evil, real corruption, real injustice. Great, just stand down and get ready to kneel before your new masters. I will have none of it. I will continue to pray for revival in this nation and across the globe, but I will also continue to pray fire and brimstone against the wicked and unrighteous who have hardened their hearts against truth. It sure is a good thing this guy didn't live in the time of Moses and Pharaoh. He would have criticized Moses for taking a hard stance and told the Israelites it was their duty to work harder producing more bricks with less straw! Pffft...

Nope - God doesn’t do the “raining-of-fire” thing these days - we need to rain the fire down ourselves if we want it to be sent.

Many in opposition to President Trump ARE globalists and atheists.

They won’t change through government fiat; indeed, as we’ve seen, that just hardens their position even further.

The only way their opinions can be altered is through personal interaction. Their spirits have to be administered to before their politics will be affected.

Change the heart.

but we have free will here on earth and its our DUTY to fight like savages to defeat evil....

nothing less is expected.....

I find no solace if we fail.....God doesn't either I would imagine...
