One time I came back after visiting relatives for Christmas all the freezer full of blackberries, blueberries and raspberries I had picked was all over the fridge and floor and rotten.

Oh yes ma'am. Why is it always holidays? It was in the 80's when we came home from Thanksgiving at my Grama's and the freezer compressor was kerplow! Everything was still cold/partly frozen. I was stuffed with turkey dinner but canned for 3 days. Ugh.

RE: ELECTRICTY...

We came home to a white colored 500 gallon fish tank upon returning from vacation. The electricity had gone out, and all the fish died. The flying fish even jumped out of the tank from lack of oxygen. What a smell!

Minor Catastrophe Slide:

We went into our hometown for summer vacation - we had a modest home that we inherited. Opened the door, and the ceiling in the Living Room and Kitchen was laying in the floor.

There had been a hail storm, and whoever put on the roof, didn’t do it right. The rain also went down into the finished basement. Quite a mess. Took months of working with Contractor to get everything replaced and installed.

I’m not even going to mention the mess that was the Refrigerator from shorting out-could have been worse.
