Biden’s proposed deputy chief of staff advocated mandatory buybacks of “assault” weapons

So, Biden wants to “unite” the country, huh? Well one way to do that is to confiscate guns from several millions of law-abiding Americans. And that is, exactly, what Biden’s proposed Deputy Chief of Staff has advocated for, according to numerous sources including Breitbart News.

Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, who managed failed soy-boy Robert (call me Beto) O’Rourke’s joke of a 2020 presidential campaign, has previously proposed “mandatory” buybacks for certain firearms.

In a September 2019 Democrat presidential debate, O’Rourke said, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.” Or as Biden would say, your “AR-16.”

According to Fox News, less than a month later, O’Malley Dillon pushed “mandatory” buybacks in a video, saying:

“We are actually the only campaign with a plan…that supports mandatory buybacks of weapons of war. An assault weapon ban is very, very important, and we need to have it. But that only takes weapons of war off the streets in the future. It does nothing for weapons of war that are currently out there.”

“Weapons of war.” Oh yeah, the “black, scary-looking” rifles that are exactly the same as a Bushmaster hunting rifle, except, well…they’re black and scary looking...

If they can get a ban on semi-auto rifles then they will go for their main target from 1962 to 1984, HANDGUNS.

The lies we have been told over the years...

1962 We ONLY want to register handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1964, We ONLY want to register ALL firearms, not ban them.

1968 We ONLY want to register all guns, and ban the import of foreign Saturday Night Specials, and 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles! (they got the ban).

1970, We ONLY want to ban small American handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1976 We ONLY want to ban ALL handguns! Rifles will not be affected!
1981, Actress Lee Grant on Good Morning America screams...”THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”

1984, they made a grab for the rifles, and missed, but played their hand.

1988,Josh Sugarmann, of the National Council to Ban Handguns tells how to ban rifles.

“Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over
fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons
—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine
gun— can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on
these weapons.”
– Josh Sugarmann
Gun owners now know that any time we negotiate with those who want to ban guns, we are up against a stacked deck.

Not giving up the fight just kinda curious to see them take a shot at their plan. Enough with all the talk - bring a lunch and let’s see your best stuff.

HOW they will ban rifles..just like they proposed to ban handguns in 1976.

Nelson T. ‘Pete’ Shields
Founder of Handgun Control, Inc.(Now the Brady Center)

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest.

Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.

So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time.

My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition — except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors — TOTALLY ILLEGAL.”

-Pete Shields, Chairman and founder, Handgun Control Inc., “A Reporter At Large: Handguns,” The New Yorker, July 26, 1976, 57-58

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”

-Pete Shields, Chairman emeritus, Handgun Control, Inc., 60 Minutes interview

HCI, around 1984, made a grab for the semi-auto rifles and shotguns, and missed. Then Josh Sugarmann tuned in. This has been the mantra ever since.
“ Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons —anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun— can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.”

Wonder how many stupid cops would “follow orders” for this type of scenario?

They want to feed their families right?

Interesting times...

LOL due to recent legislation, I will have to deny your request to purchase, because you are a known criminal, and probably couldn’t pass a background check. Not sure you would be willing to accept the asking price anyway.

So first our genius leaders release all prison inmates including any number of actual murderers and rapists. Now they are going to demand the general population be disarmed. Such politicians are a threat to civil society.

Mandatory Buyback?

You mean ‘compensated confiscation’?

55gr at a time...

So how will this work Mr. Fraud Baden?

Will you have the ATF first, confiscate all the 4473 documents from all the firearms dealers in the country ... build a database (the List).

Then send out “hither swarms of officers to harass our people” door to door? Or will it be an official letter to the people demanding we turn them in?

What people need to do now is communicate with other firearms owners and build a quick notification network. Next, band together with a few friends on a weekly, or whatever schedule to become “well regulated” as specified in the 2A.
Then meet up with other friendly groups at the range for a friendly competition (CMP Shoot?).

Organization and communication will be needed to prevent the put a stop this ... or at least assist a call for help from a fellow countrymen in need when and if they do com’a knocking.

Are you sure you want that?

Does anyone else actually read "assault" weapons ban proposals?

I did, and learned that a Ruger 10-22 is an "assault" weapon if it has an adjustable stock, but not if it doesn't.

I also found that a S&W Victory 22 is an "assault" weapon because of the threaded barrel. Now I want to buy one and mount a flower on the thread protector. I envision my future assault weapon looking something like this:

Obviously a weapon of war. The horror.
