Beach Boys music is not bad, but it’s the antithesis of cool.

Speaking only for myself and what I listen to: I listen to it because I like it. Not because someone else thinks it’s cool.

Beach Boys music is not bad, but it’s the antithesis of cool.'Cool' is a very subjective term depending on your age. I spent my teen years listening to the Beach Boys, their music was cool man.

I never really listened to the radio. Mostly listened to whatever my buddies were listening to and then branched off that until there wasn’t not much overlap left in taste.
There’s tons of stuff out there that I know I’d like but have yet to hear.

A guy on youtube who’s fun to watch and listen to is Rick Beato.
Of any music commentator I’ve read, heard, or seen, he’s the only one I know of who _shows_ you why something is worth listening to or understanding. He plays the instruments! String, key, or drum. And if he can’t do it, he can lay hands on someone who will!

Doobies are great. “Minute by Minute” is a favorite album of mine. Steamer Lane Breakdown is a great ‘pick’n grin’n Bluegrass style song.

The new Ghoultown kicks a lot of ass.
