I think a lot is a perception becomes reality kind of thing. If everyone assumes that colleges are far left...then no one on the right or even center speaks up, and colleges then actually become far left by default. This doesn’t mean ignore hard realities or go attend some wacko school like Evergreen, but I think also the right doesn’t count its wins sometimes, unwarrantedly. I think sometimes we’re too hard on ourselves. Yes, colleges lean left—where else can you make money by basically just writing treatises on “oppression” instead of actually producing—but honestly, I think the majority of students are apolitical more than anything and more interested in sports and partying. That’s an opportunity for us.

Agreed...

Speaking of myself when I was in college 20 years ago, I myself was largely apolitical although you could say I leaned right.

I recognized the hypocrisy and inconsistencies in the leftist arguments.

I resented their propensity to dictate to the rest of us, ect. But in the end, I didn’t much care either way.

But I didn’t become actually “political” until about 8 years after college....and that is when I first voted.
