Got me thinking about lockdowns. Maybe lockdowns are a blunder on their part. Because people uniformly hate the lockdowns and they are all being PUSHED by democrat socialists. And we all did notice early in the war how locking everyone at home and prohibiting public gatherings seems to have largely taken the “mass casualty event” arrow out of their “quiver” if you will. I mean we are at war, and this isn’t a war overseas somewhere, obola made sure that the next war was going to be brought home to the Americans.

Good thoughts. I believe the lockdowns cost them many, many votes, and Biden’s support for national mask mandates etc.

Hadn’t thought about mass casualty events - that means President Trump’s rallies (organized and volunteered) are the only mass target. :(

If we don’t count the approved of dancing in the street when Biden claimed to have won the election.

The lockdowns have downsides for them but apparently it got them more than it cost them - they must have NEEDED to suppress the public/kill the economy/stay out of federal court due to Covid-19 “fears” more than other concerns. They knew they were going to steal votes so they didn’t care how it would impact Joe’s candidacy. Hey, he didn’t even bother to campaign - they were that sure.

Moar of my thoughts on distancing:

Maintain a distance of 6 feet separation from others.

Who, then, is responsible for that 6-foot “bubble” surrounding each resident?
Does it not tell us that WE are responsible for our own bubble?
Can an unelected bureaucracy dictate how you utilize your personal space?
We decide who to allow in and who to exclude from that bubble.
If we are secure in our “access strategy”, we can allow whomever we choose into our bubble, even if it is a stranger.
Can that stranger then change our access strategy by telling us to move away from them?
Does their access strategy take precedence over ours?
No, if they are uncomfortable with our access strategy then it is that person who must alter their strategy and move to establish their 6-foot bubble distance strategy.
But, what if they cannot move to a 6-foot distance (wall, queue, etc.)?
Simple, my personal rights do not end where your fears begin.
Oh, and one last thing, the current orders APPEARS to imply that your personal space is anything inside 6 feet.
This could be used in a court proceeding.
For protection from assault, please be cognizant of that distance.

Boy Scouts Notable...

~~~~~~~~~
Sex abuse claims made against Boy Scouts near 90,000
Claimants have filed nearly 90,000 allegations of sexual abuse against the
Boy Scouts of America ahead of the Monday deadline — making this the
largest bankruptcy case ever to result from a sexual abuse liability. “As of
this morning, more than 88,500 claims have been filed since the Boy
Scouts commenced this bankruptcy on February 18, 2020,” the Tort
Claimants’ Committee, one of the parties in the case, said. “This makes the
Boy Scouts’ bankruptcy case the largest and most tragic bankruptcy ever
resulting from sexual abuse liability. More sexual abuse claims will be filed
in the Boy Scouts bankruptcy than all claims filed against the Catholic
Church throughout the nation.”
James Stang, a counsel to the Tort Claimants’ Committee, said that the Boy
Scouts of America’s bankruptcy “is literally 100 times larger than any other
bankruptcy case resulting from sexual abuse liability. The Tort Claimants
Committee’s duty is to ensure that all survivors of sexual abuse in Scouting
are fairly compensated.” Most of the claims fall between the 1960s to the
1980s — before the Boy Scouts began mandating criminal background
checks or abuse prevention training for all staff and volunteers, according
to ABC News. “As victims of abuse in the Boy Scouts, we are inspired by
the courage of so many fellow scouts who stepped forward to make known
they suffered similar abuse,” said John Humphrey, chairman of the
claimants’ committee. “We each live with the impact of abuse every day.”
The Boy Scouts filed for bankruptcy in February after the 110-year-old
organization received hundreds of lawsuits alleging sexual abuse. The Boy
Scouts will use the Chapter 11 petition to reorganize and establish a
victims’ compensation fund. The deadline to file a sexual abuse claim for
this case is Monday at 5 p.m., but victims who miss that deadline can still
file suits against local Boy Scout councils in states that have
“victim-friendly” statute-of-limitations laws, such as New York, New Jersey,
and California,” according to attorney Jason Amala, who is part of a legal
team representing more than 1,000 claimants.
In a statement, the BSA said it was “devastated by the number of lives
impacted by past abuse in Scouting.” “The response we have seen from
survivors has been gut wrenching,” the organization added. “We are deeply
sorry.”
