Sunday night my husband went to the hospital because he was feeling winded (48 years old). He had had shoulder surgery about 2 weeks prior so he was chalking it up to tensing too much from pain.
They did several tests on him, admitted him, more tests and then told us he needs an open heart triple heart bypass (family history)-- we are devastated and could really use your prayers right now.
My husband said "Have Faith" but to be honest, I feel like my wells are empty and I am having a hard time drawing upon them. I am scared...we have been married 30 years and he is our family's rock.
I know so many families here have gone through much more and I have so much to be thankful for... we probably found it a month away from a heart attack (50% clog, 90% clog, 80% clog).
Surgery is tomorrow at noon and I would appreciate you holding my husband Keith up in your prayers...thank you freeper family~

Joining with others in prayers for your husband and for you. Praying Lord Jesus for this man, Keith. Be with him through the surgery and healing. Give him belief in Your care. Be with those who love him also and calm their fears by giving them assurance that You are with them to calm and assure through the uncertainty. Thank You, Lord for what you will do. This is a blessing that will extend your husband’s life by years. I pray that it is successful and that he heals quickly
We lift terart’s husband, Keith, to You in prayer. Thank You the doctors discovered the heart problems before he had a heart attack. You are in control of His situation.
Be with the doctors as they perform surgery on Keith's heart. Surround him, the physicians and the nurses with ministering angels. Give the doctors wisdom on how to care for Keith after his surgery is over. Protect him from any germ, virus, or demonic presence that may lurk in the hospital.
LORD, You fashion hearts. We ask that You make Keith's heart stronger than ever. May he live a full life. Give him the discipline to eat a healthy diet and to exercise.
We bind fear in Keith and terart in the Name of JESUS and loose upon them power, love, and a sound mind. May they look to You for hope and strength.
Thank You for Your only SON, JESUS CHRIST Who gives the Victory! By His stripes we are healed.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
So lets count some blessings
1) The fact that they FOUND the blockages. He could have easily let it slide, gone unnoticed and then had a massive attack that he would likely not have recovered from.
2) Middle age is better than retirement age. Body can take more shock and recover.
3) One of the best medical systems in the world. And bypasses are MUCH better now than 20 years ago.
4) Support of a loving family
Now for Prayers - Lord we ask for the healer’s guiding hand to watch over our brother. To guide the surgeons so that all available healing can be mustered for our brother. We ask for a rapid recovery and support for the family during these trying times as well. In Jesus name, amen.
Lastly - Reach out to at least two groups for their assistance. The first is your church. There is a long road of recovery. The first month is going to be really rough. For the next month or two, NO STRESS!!!! limit any aggravations. He can have visitors but will need to watch out for making him over tired. He will need rest and he will feel like he is not contributing. Remind him of all that he has done for you and your family. For the first month, some family members should have a regular scheduled rotating visit. Often churches have hospitality ministries that can provide meals - but watch for restricted diet.
The second group is the medical / insurance community. There will be a thousand aggravations but it will get worked through. There are support options you may be able to take advantage of home nurse visits, physical therapy. Look into those and see what works for you.

Had a triple 2012. 100, 80, 60 blockages. Dr. said walk and walk. surgery on a Thursday home on sat a walked 1/4 mile on Sunday and never looked back. If your husband smokes that’s not good.
Get ready to wear out some shoes.
