The one on that Praying Medic post was actually a mini video which doesn’t render through HTML alone which is why it doesn’t work here.

How can I post gifs that move?

Hi LJ,

First of all,
The Filter Is [You]

• It's a free-speech zone - with images both bad and good

• Be careful! Select images appropriate for YOUR social media. More Effective Memes ("Use Psychology")

★ Learn to ID the best memes for your [audience]. Does it present an idea from [their] point of view like marketers do, instead of insulting folks?

★ Will it go viral? Is it funny? Wry? Sarcastic? Surprising? Emotional? Beautiful? Elevating? Memorable? Annoying? Insightful? Baffling? Clever?

★ Just plain hate is counterproductive. You want the people you're persuading to view and forward it, not toss it in the trash. We seek to Unite, not Divide.

★ Memefarmer's Tao of Memes offers technical advice to improve our memes.

Regardless, with your posting history, I'm sure you'll pick the right gif's to 'move' people.

In my experience, you can't copy and paste an animated GIF. All you get is one frame of it.

What you can do is provide the link to it. So if someone else shared such a GIF, copy the link and include it in an IMG tag.

As Steven W. said, however, movies on Twitter (and Facebook) are proprietary, so you can't even share them with a link.

Instead of a .jpg or whatever, use a .gif file in the image.

Like this:

<img src="name-of-gif-here.gif" width=50%>

So for my Biden's Bubble Burst which I just used in the new thread (I was watching TV and lost a couple of hours of thread) it would be like this:

<img src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1lGLO3sixvI/XwoSs-nx4kI/AAAAAAACWUo/5F7fHMzeYE8_TMHusdY4cNl3WI0peFV7gCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/1mb90m_ou27m2NxR41wviwa9o1_400.gif" width=50%>

to give this:
