I haven't watched much news at all since election night but I still thought that Tucker Carlson was one of the people who would stand up for our President until it wasn't possible to stand up any more. Then I watched last night's show. He had on a frequent guest of his, Alex Berenson, who wrote a book or 2 about the Coronavirus, lockdowns and their effect on society. He was running his normal lot of statistics to show how ineffective lockdowns were but then he changed topics and started a rant on how the GOP was wasting precious time supporting Donald Trump when they should be mounting a campaign to force the Biden administration to end lockdowns and start vaccinations. Not once did Tucker object or interrupt him. he let him finish, thanked him for his input and moved on. That was it for me. Tucker was my last tie to Fox, now I'm done with him.
Here is the relevant part of the segment.
Company man disguised as “I’m looking out for you.”
Don’t get me wrong, I like Tucker cause his sarcasm sometimes can be downright brutal and hilarious but yeah, he has his moments......
Never trusted Tucker
Dont forget they outed his home address and he had to move. He has four kids.
Tucker Carlson used to be absolutely vilified on Free Republic, and that was before he went to MSNBC. Not sure why people started liking him again.

He became Bill O’reilly Lite.
I watched some of Tucker last night, and the part I watched was really good... he came hard against Neil Cavuto for his censoring Kayleigh McEnany... He was good...
Carlson has mommy issues.
He was much worse than that going back to 2000 or before.
He’s the best talk show host on television. His critics are never satisfied. I hope he endures.
He was never a Conservative, but TV has moved so far left, it seems like hes filling in.
He understands ratings unlike Baier, Perino, and Sourwalt - who think they are just fabulous people. Megyn Kelly used to proudly say on TV, I could care less what the right thinks.
Carlson understands ratings.
+1
i suspect that carlson is a little l libertarian.
nobody likes little l libertarians— everyone thinks they are on the other side of the false dichotomy.
so what if a guy comes on and hijacks the interview? if carlson tried to control him then it would be difficult to do so. everyone has an interview style— would people prefer that carlson adopt chris wallace’s interview style?
carlson has a habit of letting interviewees say what they want to say, and then playing their words back on the air later when proven untrue by subsequent events.
most of carlson’s monologues go far beyond anyone else’s on cable tv. same for most of carlson’s interviews. and carlson will interview people who can’t get on tv any other time.
carlson and watters are still among the best that cable tv has to offer imho. right now they are probably getting resistance from behind and they probably have to walk a fine line.
hopefully there will be another shift in the wind soon...
That’s a stupid question. All of the people here bashing him know damn well why he became popular.
Its just a weird thing on the right where we will all of a sudden backdate vilification because of disappointment today.
Rush Limbaugh's light, alas, is fading, Mark Levin is wonderfully effective but he alone cannot be more than a voice crying in the wilderness. Tucker Carlson is the best we have.
You have misunderstood last night's show, you misunderstood its contents, you missed Carlson's rebuke, the second in the same number of nights, of his own network-a mark of real courage in these unsettled times. It is part of our nature to lash out when fearful or frustrated, but we cannot afford to be shooting our own first captains, rather we must master ourselves.
Direct your fire at the real enemy!
“Direct your fire at the real enemy!”
my thoughts exactly!
It’s real easy for us to shovel criticism on these media pundits. I think it’s unreasonable to expect that we’re going to find another individual on the entire planet that we agree with 100%. I certainly have some things about carlson that i disagree with and we could have that discussion. But i’m not going to jump over the side just because of it. He is taking a courageous stand on his show possibly the only one on his network that’s standing up to the Woke Bullies. We should enjoy the factual contents of his show while we can. Because soon the facsists will be turn their water cannons on him. He’ll move to newsmax or OANN. I’ll move with him.
Yeah and the night the mob came to his house he wasn’t home. He should have been armed and taught his wife how to use a fire arm.
If Carlson understands ratings then he knows who makes up his audience. I didn’t expect him to cut Berenson off or censor him but he could have at least called him out on his obvious bias. I’ve seen him pose followup questions dozens of times before. That’s what anyone from FR would have done. He didn’t so he’s either following orders or he just doesn’t care about his audience. What will he have to do, ask Trump to concede gracefully like Laura Ingraham did? Personally I prefer not to stick around for that. YMMV.
carlson has a habit of letting interviewees say what they want to say...
