Due to censoring and blocking of conservatives, many people are leaving "mainstream" social media platforms. This is well and good. The executives of those platforms are correct in saying that no one is forcing anyone to use them.
Parler and Rumble are more suitable alternatives for conservatives it seems. They are still a little rough around the edges but so were facebook and twitter in their infancy.
I admit I have never used any of these social media platforms so my questions may be irrelevant.
I have two questions for those moving off twitter, facebook etc. First is it important to take your contacts list and posts with you? Second is there a way to export them, transform them (if necessary) and import them into Parler and Rumble?
The "mainstream" social media platforms clearly don't want us there. So be it. If conservatives who use these platforms left it would take a large bite from their advertising revenue.
Same here. Moving to MeWe and Parler.
That’ll teach the DEMs for stealing the White House! :eye-roll:
No one is forcing them to use them is not a defense for their actions. Everyone is forced to use them if tbey want to get a politicial message or advertising message out on an even playing field. They need to be brought down as they are denying freedom of speech and interfering with our elections.
Facebook has an option to download your account media before deleting your entire account.
Save to hardrive or external storage.
I dont know about transferring it to Parler.
Never done any of that crap........

No, nothing to do with the Democratic party. It teaches Facebook and Twitter not to censor people.
Facebook and Twitter earn revenues by the number of active accounts. Businesses advertise on Facebook because of their active user accounts. More people that leave Facebook the less money Facekbooks makes.
I am a customer of Facebook and Twitter, if I get bad service (a political message I share with friends) I take my service elsewhere.
I am sure MeWe and Parler will like to have me as a customer.
I suspended my Facebook account. I plan on signing back in when Trump wins so I can post my MAGA hat picture. Then I close the account for good. Ive been at Parler since June. Its pretty cool. No censorship. A lot of our favorites are there.
Look up https://www.facebook.com/AllTrumpGirl/
She’s hosting a mass exodus from FB on Friday the 13th and has directions how to save everything,
>>The executives of those platforms are correct in saying that no one is forcing anyone to use them.
There are cities that use both platforms to deliver information to the public.
A way has to be found to get information out to the public that the liberal media refuse to put out...
I read earlier where 36% of democrat voters didn’t know anything about Biden and his son’s connections with China and Ukraine...
Also probably that many or more know nothing about Biden’s groping little girls....
Information such as this HAS to be known country-wide....
Too bad this will isolate me from everyone including my overseas friends and relatives. Parler and MeWe are too much like echo chambers. Sure we are there, but the rest of the world isnt, and unfortunately they wont move.
I've been wondering about this.
I have two community FB pages.
One from August 18, 2010 Save George Zimmerman from racial onslaught
that morphed after the trial to 'examing racism in the larger societal context while promoting Unity and Mutual Respect'.
The other from May 31, 2013...Northern Sentinel
'Exploring Western Culture, History, and Philosophy; promoting Freedom and Individualism, identifying and preparing for the threats facing us.'
I don't want for all of the work I've put into these accounts to go 'poof'.
In the case of the GZ page, I have over 600 members. I'm concerned about losing them in a transfer to a different platform.
It is good to know that FB has the option to download my account and save it,
but what form I wonder will it be in if I transfer it to say Parler or some other platform.
Any advice or experience shared would be appreciated.
