There is much debate especially here in the rock and roll center of the universe, who gets in the hall of fame? Woody Guthrie? Whitney Houston? Kiss?
Any How, I like everything from Bach to Bluegrass, it is all based on "call and response"
But my secret love is Progressive Rock or "Prog Rock"
What is your secret prog band?
Thanks to all you redneck conservatives who came along on this musical trip
We need to hang out with some punkers next time. :)

Ultravoxy
Why not? a band that broke the mold and actually crossed over.
I get up, I get down. Pure magic. Otherworldly. Hard to believe Close to the Edge is almost 50 years old. Timeless.
(OK, admittedly, he was great in TransAtlantic too.)
But here's another Jesus-tinged one you forgot/might not have heard of: more Celtic and some fusion with the prog.
Iona (JoAnne Hogg on vocals.)
Flight of the Wild Goose (Instrumental, takes awhile to get started.) And yes that's Nick Beggs on the Chapman Stick.
Inside My Heart (Live). Dave Bainbridge *owns* the guitar at the end.
If you can find it, get their album Journey Into the Morn. You won't regret it.
Barbara Thompson thinks she is Deider Malherbe, still, pretty good stuff
In her white lace, you could clearly see the lady sadly looking
Saying that she’d take the blame
For the crucifixion of her local king
I get up, I get down
I get up, I get down
Two million people barely satisfy
Two hundred women watch one woman cry, too late
The eyes of honesty can achieve
How many millions do we deceive each day
Oh, yeah, I have some of their albums. Just never thought of them as Prog. Also forgot to mention Jeff Johnson, but he’s a bit more in the art-rock zone. And an acquired taste.
:)
Here, give this a try, it’s probably my favorite album of his:
