This does apply to printing companies using digital presses and it also applies to commercial copy machines.

Xerox developed a way of marking the source or originating printer or copier with micro markings so that the printout can be traced back to the originating printer.

Applies IF you have a digital machine.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please correct my understanding....
All commercial printing machines upload ALL sent, copied, scanned, documents are saved to the cloud. (Every document).
My understanding is EVERY printer does this. Commercial and PRIVATE copier/printer. Is this wrong thinking?
Reading the fine print tells me, if you use the copy machine, the manufacture has all rights to all documents unless you file for privacy for each document.
Have I misread this?
