Something like this happened to my brother when he was a teenager. He was with two friends in the room of one kid who was showing off his dad’s new gun. It went off, instantly killing the other kid. My brother won’t talk about it much; really, what is there to say? It was very traumatizing. Only after now typing this do I realize it could have been him that was shot. Up until now, I had never considered that. I bet he did.
