PA. Heavy Turnout at 7 am
1. What State? CALIFORNIA
2. Is your precinct GOP, DEM, or Mixed. LEANS SLIGHTLY GOP IN MY AREA
3. How does the turnout compare to past POTUS elections? TURNOUT WAS HEAVY THIS MORNING, HEAVIER THAN PAST ELECTIONS.
Anecdotally, Alabama 01; thousands of people in line to vote at the local high school in this split but generally pro-Trump & Republican district. A good sign, I think
Prelim comment....
My mom and cousin early voted on Sat.
Here in central MD.
They said it wasnt much then.
Incidentally, they handed me a baggie full of candy along with my #Voted sticker.
God bless President Donald J. Trump and the USA.
Iowa
Leaning Republican
The line to vote was around the building. We stood in line for an hour. I have never seen turnout like that. Thankfully the weather is nice.
Red central OK precinct was packed at 0700. Took 50 minutes to get in and out, usually takes 10 or 15.
MA. Somewhat conservative town (by MA standards). Biggest turnout I’ve ever seen — maybe 20 people at 7 AM. Rural area. At least 1 Trump bumper sticker in the parking lot.
I voted this morning. A line going outside, which I hadn’t seen before - maybe 75 people. It didn’t actually take that long. A half hour later I passed the place again and there was no line outside, so it might have just been people stopping in on their way to work. The weirdest thing is that every time I vote they change the system - this time you sat down and filled in a simple sheet like an SAT test (”fill in the circle entirely!”) and then feed it into a scanner which tells you it’s accepted. I do like this better than the simple touch-screen they’d been using - at least there’s a paper copy somewhere when all is said and done.
I believe I’m in a Trump area, based on the number of signs I see by the roadside.
SC Republicans, wait time 1 hour
Very heavy turnout, the local news was predicting low turnout because so many people voted early. Turns out they were wrong or maybe false reporting.
PA
Very long lines early
Republican leaning
CA - Heavily commie area, polls not yet open, 4 people in line.
I early voted here in TX so can’t add much. But, the day I did go, there was a long line and I’ve heard it’s only gotten worse.
How is everyone feeling? I feel like this is almost like waiting for doctors to come out after a loved one (in this case, our beautiful country) gets out of surgery. Hopeful and a nervous wreck all the same.
South Mississippi. We arrived 20 minutes after the polls opened. In all my years of voting at this precinct we have never had to wait to vote. This year there were lines way out the door, tents set up, the parking lot was full, and it took us 30 minutes to vote. Turnout appears to be very heavy, but we are also voting on a state flag and medical marijuana.
PA
Precinct historically Dem
When polls opened at 7AM the line was huge, went up the sidewalk and halfway through the parking lot.
Lots of cops, fire and EMS in line.
North Minneapolis neighborhood. Normally a quiet voting place the line at 7:00am was about 40 and growing.
Busiest I’ve ever seen.
The database for registered voters was down and they were doing it old school with a printed ledger. This seemed odd, and it was apparently affecting other locations as well.
Hmmm.
Madison County Alabama, huge turnout.
Very high so far. Over 100 voters so far. Best Day ever was 220 in 16. About 300 total on the rolls..
Record setting pace so far.
