Share your experience of Election Day In Pennsylvania
Despite the upsurge of COVID in Pennsylvania (my county is now at a 9.8 positivity rate, the fifth highest in the state) there are apparently lots of people willing to brave the virus and vote. The Harrisburg online newspaper is just now reporting long lines at polling places across the state.
I intend to vote in person at 3:00 this afternoon. My employer is giving us paid administrative leave for two hours to vote.
Where in Hanover? Im on Blossom Drive
That was a great story!
I heard people waited for a long time in line and polling place didn’t open, they had to leave for work.
Trump will have more than 270 before PA finishes counting....
The Dems want to discourage Trump voters by keeping long lines and not moving people along.
The Pennsylvania Republican party is NOT BRIGHT, they are NOT FIGHTERS, but yet expext us to vote for them!!
They are weak & ineffective even when they had all 3 branches of state government!!
PATHETIC WEAKLINGS WHO SELL US PENNSYLVANIA RESIDENTS OUT EVERY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
My polling place has been insanely busy.
Highest vote totals in 4 years I have worked was 220 or so in 16... we are already near 90 votes cast at 9:20....
Total voter roll is around 300.
I live in Europe right now but we are in the process of building a house between Spring Grove and York. I lived down past Codorus Park and graduated from South Western.
Does ANYBODY know if there is a link or a phone number to report polling place incidents to the Trump Campaign? I have been Googling for over an hour and all I can find are campaign donation sites. Grrrrr.
However the machines that are supposed to scan the scannable paper ballots were out of order and they were having us deposit them in a ballot box to be scanned later.
Not surprised with Allegheny County...but PLEASE contact both Project Veritas and the election fraud hotline!
I posted most of this on the main thread, but here goes:
I arrived at the polling place in Allegheny County (Western suburb) at about 10 minutes to 7 this morning, and was shocked to see a line of about 50 people there already. This has never happened before. Talked to a few people in line who either requested a mail in ballot and never received it, or didn’t trust mail-in ballots. I tend to assume those who distrust VBM are Trump voters, but you never know. The guy who didn’t get his mail-in ballot sarcastically said they were probably saving it for Biden.
They brought us in in small groups, and I entered at about 7:15. When I went up to the desk, the young woman checking us in couldn’t find my name on the list at first; looking in the wrong part of the alphabet no doubt. Then they handed me a paper ballot! I have used voting machines at that polling place for seven years. Possibly because of COVID. Anyway, I filled it out and put it in a scanning machine. I hope it took. When my BF voted in another county (Washington), the machine gave him a printed receipt.
As I was leaving, a young (30s-ish) woman was outside placing Republican political signs in the grass around the polling location (they gave her permission to do so). That was somewhat encouraging to me, as I tend to stereotype millennials as being Democrats.
What election fraud hotline?
A friend sent me the number to one but it’s with the PA State Government in Harrisburg. That’s like reporting a theft to the National Society of Burglars.
I tried calling my local GOP to report it and the idiots did not show up to the office till 9, and have not yet returned my voice mail.
Do you have better options? Thanks.
I’ve heard that western Allegheny County (Moon, Robinson) is breaking VERY strongly for Trump.
Here in the South Hills we’ve got idiots with Biden signs all over the place.
Not sure what it means but massive lines in my county in Indiana. We’re talking 1.5-2.0 hour waits. Outlining counties not nearly as bad.
This is not setting the stage for fraud.
There have been more than 3 million mail in ballots cast in PA... it will take them days to be fully counted. In some counties the staffing is not enough to run the Election Day activities and count mail in ballots so they will not start counting the mail ins until Wednesday, and most of those places are deep red counties... are you going to claim they are setting things up for fraud too?
I’m in Carnegie which is usually heavily Democrat. I’ve seen a few more Trump signs around here than last time around.
I was in Somerset County a couple of weeks ago and it was wall-to-wall, bold and unabashed Trump. Giant signs, huge flags, cutouts of The Donald giving the thumbs up, etc.
Nary a Biden sign in sight. I probably have to move there.
There were lots of GOP candidate signs, from state reps to Trump-Pence, that lined the driveway and along the parking lot. Zero Democrat signs. The local GOP had volunteers outside the polling place at the required distance distributing campaign literature. Zero Democrat ground game. This goes along with everything I have observed and heard about in terms of GOTV efforts for the GOP and Democrats in PA.
My daughter was #102 and I #103 to vote. There appeared to be a lot of first time voters in this precinct given the number of people getting out IDs.
I liked the voting process. It was a paper ballot that you filled out and then scanned into a machine which retained the ballot in a locked box. I like paper ballots. The entire process was 48 minutes from the time we arrived till we left. It was orderly without any problems. Everyone seemed to be in the correct place, i.e., no one showing up at the wrong precinct or anyone voting with provisional ballots.
The line was as long as when we left was it was when we arrived. The church across the street was also a polling place (different precinct). It had a line of similar length. Also no signs of Democrats.
I hope this is occurring elsewhere in PA and not just in my little conservative slice of PA.
