Seems a common presumption that this election will hinge on winning Pennsylvania. The one state that seems to have the least defined election rules and the worst record for voter fraud.
I think it is a huge electoral prize—the 5th largest?
Florida is in the bag. So no obsession over Florida.
Trump can win without Pennsylvania.
The rubber meets the road in Michigan.
But if they call Pennsylvania for Trump before Michigan it means Biden is an almost certain loser.
Pennsylvania will be part of the momentum.
I remember PA being called VERY late in 2016. I think WI was called before it.
Because Biden burned Pennsylvania in the last debate. If PA is still blind, where else can you go?
It is a huge prize but because of the way the rust belt works it usually isn’t the one that the news reports on many times a day as being the decider. It just seems almost strategic that it’s election rules are the most convoluted and the most delayed in the country.
It was called very late but it didn’t put Trump over the top.

Joe wants to win. Putting the first woman president in office would be the biggest, and only, accomplishment of his life.
I recommend reading this article. A win does not hinge completely on PA, but since it has 20 EV, it is the one state that gets him over guaranteed, if all traditional red states still vote for President Trump.

I thought it was solid Republican.
If I remember correctly PA was called pretty late. Truth be told I was three sheets in the wind by that time.
There were shenanigans with the PA call. They stalled on calling it way beyond when it should have been. They also screwed up the numbers and took away about 10% of the vote for a few minutes then returned it. Just enough time for Panetta to send everyone home.
Good article. I actually believe that Trump will take all the states he took last time and add Minnesota. Pennsylvania is thus made immaterial.
