Intel is certainly a major factor in war and national security.

But the Chinese make a fetish of deception and double-cross as being superior to the more straightforward approach characterizing the American warrior psyche.

American generals seek the element of SURPRISE, not the element of double-cross.

Making the enemy believe one thing while you do another is a tale as old as time. I bet even the cave man tribes used sun tzu as they fought over hunting grounds and women.

Sun Tzu just wrote it down.

Besides, is it really a crime to 'double cross' the enemy?
