That was Hugh Hewitt. I don’t remember if it was 04 or 08. Either way, neither election was a GOP big win. Then he became a never trumper, then he saw the light (more likely, wanted to keep his radio audience). I’m not a fan of his schtick.

That’s right. A book by that name was written by Hewitt.

John fund wrote a couple of other books on election fraud, and when he was interviewed, I heard him say that phrase - if it ain’t close they can’t cheat.

That’s why when I think of that phrase, I think of John Fund-but the title belonged to HH.
