Well, I'm done with my Republican GOTV phone calls for today. So far I've made exactly 700 phone calls. And that is ONLY in MY precinct.

I only call Republicans and only between 1800 and 2000. I greet everyone by name. I am relentlessly polite. I got my obligatory one hostile reaction per election on the first day.

The best call was when I got the former, 20-year, county Democrat Party chairman. He told me that he abandoned the Democrats when they ran Al Gore and never looked back. I said, "Welcome Aboard."

I got one Democrat by accident. When she told me she was a Democrat and voting for Biden, I told her she was always welcome in the Republican Party. She laughed and said, "not now." Very pleasant.
