Someone writing about this somewhere surmised the Rats were trying to figure out why the numbers weren't coming back as they expected and were trying to fix it somehow.
To the best of my ability to recall, there was also a delay calling Georgia till sometime just before or after midnight. I had just moved to Texas from Georgia and I knew something fishy was going on there. Georgia was reliably red and from the previous 5 years I had voted there, Georgia was always called either right away or within an hour and a half after polls closed.
Before the election, I specifically remember that Jeh Johnson, DHS, and O'Bozo were attempting to reach out to assist the states if there were any possible irregularities after warning that unspecified foreign hackers were attempting to interfere in our elections. Then wouldn't ya know it suddenly the Secretary of State is reporting in the news that someone had attempted to hack into our voter systems but were unsuccessful. Of course, Jeh and Bambi came rushing to offer help but thankfully Governor Nathan Deal and the Secretary said; "Thanks but no thanks, our state will handle this."
Later on, state officials discovered it was DHS that had tried to access the systems in Georgia. Jeh got call on it, said he would investigate it, then came back and admitted it but claimed it was an accident and that it happened when DHS was testing their systems.
YEAH, RIGHT!
I remember that hacking incident. I figured they were trying to do a little election rigging and got caught. Maybe we’ll find out for sure sometime in the next 4 years.
