The CDC, in July, indicated that the fast-test was not and, could not, be COVID specific. It tests for the presence of Corona Virus.
A large amount of the recent positives are simply common-cold CV or a mutant-Corona of some other source.
Also in the same family are Avian Flu and (IIRC) H1N1.
This also means that a vaccine will not be effective over a long time; provided that Big Pharma continues to withhold the cure for the common cold.
It’s just the flu, bro.
