As my adviser told me, Wall Street likes a divided government. If the GOP takes both houses and keeps the Presidency there will be an initial drop but it will come back in very short time.

Yeh, the thing they don’t like is uncertainty. As soon as they know what’s what, they adjust their portfolios.
IIRC, it was Peter Lynch that wrote about a Nun who taught her 6th graders to select stocks. They had spread sheets of the ones they “chose” and followed them as if they had really invested.
It was not unusual for the sixth graders to “beat the street”. Ha.
