I don’t know if the media can save himself from that oil transition remark, especially after he repeated it twice.
It was over when Joe lowered his head and said “Oh, Gawd”. He knew he was getting walloped and had no retort.
And then looking right into the camera and telling viewers that he was the more moral, principled choice while repeating the lies about Trump telling people to inject bleach and doing nothing about Russia placing bounties on American soldiers. I was waiting for the "fine people on both sides" one next.

When Trump hammered Biden in why he hadn’t done anything besides the racist crime bill in his 47 years in national politics including 8 as VP and now claims he will fix everything. Trump wouldn’t let it go and called him an empty suit politician. I think it resonated with a lot of people and for good reason. Then Biden set the coffin in fire when he said he wants to outlaw oil
